The band has released four studio albums, the most successful of which is 2010's Grammy-nominated Infinite Arms.[1] The band's lineup, which included Mat Brooke for the debut album, has undergone several changes; although, the current members, Bridwell, Ryan Monroe, Tyler Ramsey, Bill Reynolds, and Creighton Barrett, have all been with the band for several years. While you was gone you must have done a lot of favors
You've got a whole lot of things I don't think
That you could ever have paid for
While you've been busy crying
About my past mistakes
I've been busy trying to make a change
And now I made a change

I've been riding with the ghost
I've been doing whatever he told me
I've been looking door to door to see
if there was someone who'd hold me
I never met a single one who didn't see through me
None of them could love me if they thought they might lose me
Unless I made a change

See I ain't getting better. I am only getting behind
I am standing on a crossroad trying to make up my mind
I'm trying to remember how it got so late
Why every night pain comes from a different place
Now something's got to change

I put my foot to the floor
To make up for the miles I've been losing
See I'm running out of things
I didn't even know I was using
And while you've been busy
Learning how to complain
I've been busy learning
How to make a change
And now I made a change.

This song from Vampire Weekend is called "Diane Young" is a song I love and so will you.......

Group and Song Facts:

Vampire Weekend is an American indie rock band from New York City formed in 2006. They are currently signed to XL Recordings. The band consists of five members: lead vocalist and guitarist Ezra Koenig, guitarist/keyboardist and backing vocalist Rostam Batmanglij, drummer and percussionist Chris Tomson, bassist and backing vocalist Chris Baio, and other guy Steve Buscemi. The band released its first album Vampire Weekend in 2008, which produced the singles "Mansard Roof", "A-Punk", "Oxford Comma", "Cape Cod Kwassa Kwassa", and "The Kids Don't Stand A Chance". The band's second album, Contra, was released in 2010. Their third studio album, Modern Vampires of the City, will be released on May 14, 2013.

Modern Vampires of the City is the third studio album by the American rock band Vampire Weekend which will be released May 14, 2013 through XL Recordings. Following their second album Contra (2010), the band toured and began writing their next effort during sound checks. After a period in which the quartet pursued different musical projects, they regrouped and began work on their third record in 2011. Working with no deadline in mind, the band brought in an outside record producer for the first time, Ariel Rechtshaid.

Recorded in various locations, including New York, Los Angeles, Martha's Vineyard and apartments, Modern Vampires of the City is an attempt to distance the band from the sound they became heavily associated with following their 2008 debut and Contra. Broadly experimental, the sound featured on the record is the result of a variety of unconventional recording assets, including pitch shifting. The cover art is a 1966 photograph by Neal Boenzi of the smoggiest day in New York City history, on which the air pollution killed at least 169 people. Announced in a New York Times classified in February 2013, two singles have thus far been released: "Diane Young"/"Step", and "Ya Hey".

This disorienting ode to an out-of-control girl was premiered by BBC Radio 1's Zane Lowe. Frontman Ezra Koenig told the DJ: "We worked on it for a long time. We went out to LA to co-produce it with Ariel [Rechtshaid]... It's definitely one of our craziest songs."

The titular vixen's name is presumably a play on words on 'dying young' and possibly also a reference to the Diane Young Anti-Aging Salon on E 79th street in Manhattan.

Offering a glimpse into "Modern Vampires of the City," due out May 7, "Diane Young" is a whirlwind of references. From the pitch-shifted baby-baby-babys to the dancy, Wham!-approved chorus to the Kennedy references and homophone title, Vampire Weekend puts together a pastiche that mines both innocence and paranoia from the past, all the while feeling perfectly au courant.

You torched a Saab like a pile of leaves
I'd gone to find some better wheels
4, 5 meters running round the bend
When the government agents surround you again

If Diane Young won't change your mind,
Baby, baby, baby, baby right on time

Out of control but you're playing a role
Do you think you can go til the 18th hole
Or will you flip-flop the day of the championship?
Try to go it alone on your own for a bit

If Diane Young won't change your mind,
Baby, baby, baby, baby right on time...

Oh let 'em go

If Diane Young won't change your mind,
Baby, baby, baby, baby right on time

Irish and proud, baby, naturally
But you got the luck of a Kennedy
So grab the wheel, keep on holding it tight
Til you're tottering off into that good night.

If Diane Young won't change your mind,
Baby, baby, baby, baby right on time.

Nobody knows what the future holds on
Said it's bad enough just getting old
Live my life in self-defense
You know I love the past, 'cause I hate suspense...

If Diane Young won't change your mind
Baby, baby, baby, baby right on time..

I think it's time for a change
Cause things feel out of touch
And I watch you walk away, again

Well this feels like too much
(Can you take it away?)
And things won't go my way
Now I'll have to fade away, my friend

So pass slowly
And carry me down
And render me lonely
When you're not around

I need to shake off this pain
But courage takes too much
So I have to walk away, again

Oh God I miss your touch
(Can you take it away?)
The way that you keep me safe
I won't let you fade away, my friend

So pass slowly
And carry me down
Remember me only
When you're not around

Oh yea, can't you stay awhile longer?
Oh yea, won't you stay?
God please stay
And pass slowly
(It's time for a change)
And whittle me down
(Cause things feel out of touch)
And render me lonely
(I'll watch you walk away, again)
When you're not around

So pass slowly
(This feels like too much)
And let me down easy
(And things won't go my way)
Render me lonely
(I'll have to fade away, my friend)
When you're not around.

Well I swear to God
We've been down this road before
The guilt's no good
And it only shames us more
And the truths that we all tried to hide
Are so much clear when it's not our lives
We don't face the blame

Won't you
(Get on your knees)
Believe
(Have faith)
In this lie with us all

Now my body's on the floor
And I am calling
Well I'm calling out to you
Can you hear me now?

It's not a rebellion when your
Selling out to another fashion salesman
Our promising lives
Are full of empty promises
Temptation's falling
And calling you home again
I'm sorry if we've let you down

Won't you
(Get on your knees)
Believe
(Have faith)
In this lie with us all

Now my body's on the floor
And I am calling
Well I'm calling out to you
Can you hear me now?

What's wrong?
What's wrong?
What's wrong?

Now my body's on the floor
And I am calling
Well I'm calling out to you

Now my body's on the floor
And I am calling

Now my body's on the floor
And I am calling

Now my body's on the floor
And I am calling
I'm calling out to you.

This song from Yeah Yeah Yeahs is called "Mosquito" is a song I love and so will you.......

Group and Song Facts:

Yeah Yeah Yeahs are an American indie rock band formed in New York City in 2000. The group is composed of vocalist and pianist Karen O, guitarist and keyboardist Nick Zinner, and drummer Brian Chase.[2] They are complemented in live performances by second guitarist David Pajo, who joined as a touring member in 2009 and replaced Imaad Wasif who had previously held this role. According to an interview that aired during the ABC network's Live from Central Park SummerStage series, the band's name was taken from modern New York City vernacular.

The band has recorded four studio albums; the first, Fever to Tell, was released in 2003. The second, Show Your Bones, was released in 2006 and was named the second best album of the year by NME. Their third studio album, It's Blitz!, was released on March 31, 2009 in the US and on April 6, 2009 elsewhere. Their fourth album, Mosquito, was released on April 15, 2013.

Who knew the Yeah Yeah Yeahs could be so literal? The video for the band's newest single, "Mosquito," has debuted, and it features, well, a mosquito.

What the video does not feature is any of the band members, as singer Karen O, guitarist Nick Zinner and Brian Chase do not appear once. They're instead replaced by a young boy being bitten by a mosquito. Halfway through the video, as the music revs up, psychedelic rainbow colors pulsate through the bug's body.

"Mosquito" marks the second single from the Yeah Yeah Yeahs' recently released album of the same name. The first, "Sacrilege," came out in February and was also accompanied by a video that did not feature the band members. Whereas the "Sacrilege" video plays out like scenes in a movie, "Mosquito" is starker and more restrained.

The Yeah Yeah Yeahs scored their third consecutive Top 10 album with "Mosquito," which debuted at No. 5 on the Billboard 200.

Mosquito sing, mosquito cry
Mosquito live, mosquito die
Mosquito drink most anything
Whatever's left, mosquito scream

I'll suck your blood
I'll suck your blood
I'll suck your blood
Suck your, suck your
Suck your blood
[x2]

Mosquito sing, mosquito cry
Mosquito live, mosquito die
Mosquito land on your neck
Mosquito drink whatever's left

He'll suck your blood
He'll suck your blood
He'll suck your blood
Suck your, suck your
Suck your blood
[x2]

They can see you but you can't see them
They can see you but you can't see them
So how you gonna let them in?
They're hiding beneath your bed
Crawling between your legs
They're sticking ya in your vein
Were you itching when they call your name?
Were you itching when they call your name?

They'll suck your blood
They'll suck your blood
They'll suck your blood
Suck your, suck your
Suck your

They'll suck your blood
They'll suck your blood
They'll suck your blood
Suck your, suck your
Suck your blood.
